    Nasi Bakar (Roasted Rice)

    Roasted rice also called buri in Sundanese. Roasted rice is a product of an advanced process of rice, is processed by flavor spices, then wrapped in banana leaves and baked over the fire. Important note to make roasted rice: It is baked, not burnt.

    When roasted rice was opened from the wrapper, it has a distinctive aroma. If you bite into your mouth and chewed slowly, it more sticky, more fragrant and more tasty than ordinary rice.

    Roasted rice began to be heard in year 2000. When was the first time this product launched, it is not recorded in the history of Indonesian culinary. This rice was identical with the typical staple food of Indonesia.
