    Crossing Mahakam Delta

    Down from the existing rig few days a go in my mind just want to take a nice sleep during the trip by sea-truck while fording Mahakam Delta .

    Mahakam delta is a region consisting of several islands that are formed due to the sediment at the mouth of the Mahakam River in Makassar Strait, East Kalimantan. When viewed from space, the delta region is shaped like a fan. Mahakam Delta region has an area of about 150,000 ha (including territorial waters). However, if the calculated land area only, this area reached more than 100,000 ha.

    Administratively, the region is in the Mahakam Delta region Regency, precisely located in District Anggana, Java Muara, and Sanga-Sanga. Mahakam Delta area is  a rich area in natural resources, especially oil and natural gas  . Also use as traffic of carrying ships, fishing boat, and transportation passenger from one area to another (Source: Wikipedia).

    The sky was bright and the air was  hot enough to let me sleep too long. Finally, rather than dumbly waiting for the long journey towards Handil  I sat on the edge of the stern  while enjoying the blue sky, see traffic-carrying ships in the Mahakam Delta and  spent batteries power from my pocket camera  to eliminate the boredom…^_^
